System Design Issues for Broadband Content Delivery Services

Broadband access network technologies such as ADSL and FTTH (Fiber To The Home) are becoming increasingly popular in Japan. In line with this trend, new broadband content delivery services using streaming technology and CDN technology are starting to appear. However, there are various issues that need to be addressed in order to provide highquality services. This position aims to encourage discussion of the system design issues involved in the establishment of broadband content and broadband communication services. We also address the real deployment of broadband content delivery system and services.
